A holiday full of culture and sport
On days where you are not either relaxing by the pool or visiting one of the many beautiful towns close by, there are always things to do!
What about a walk in the surrounding hills, a game of football or volleyball with other guests – or perhaps a week-long personal development retreat?
Hiking and Biking
We are immersed in wonderful nature and you can explore it on your own, walking around our lake and along our vineyard or going for a round-trip passing by our ‘Calanco’ hill. Extensive mountain and forest walks are just a short 30 minutes’ drive away in the Vallombrosa nature park, with the highest peaks rising to almost 1500 meters above sea level.
Bike trips are very popular in our area and road bikers are seen everywhere. We recommend a nearby bike shop where it is possible to rent quality road bikes, mountain bikes and e-bikes.
Wine tasting
We offer a weekly complimentary wine tasting tour for our guests. The tour includes an introduction to the history of the winery, containing a mediaeval tower and a 18th century granary with the wine cellar in the basement.
Bespoke wine tasting tours for external visitors can be arranged for a minimum of 10 participants. Get in touch for further information.
Horse riding
We offer horse riding adventures with our friends from the nearby Castelvecchio Ranch (10 minutes by car). You will be riding in the beautiful nature in our surroundings, through woods and along nature trails with breath-taking views of the Vallombrosa mountains, the Calanco hills, sunflower fields and Chianti vineyards. Horse riding adventures can be arranged for all levels of competence.
Farm and animal visit
We arrange for children a visit to the rabbits, chickens, ducks and Tuscan roosters in the neighbouring farm only a 10 minute walk from us, where the smallholder farmer shows us around his place and lets us meet the animals.
Singing holiday
From the 9th to 15th of June 2024 this holiday is for those who love to sing choral music!
Led by the highly acclaimed conductor Amy Bebbington, the 6-day singing retreat will allow you to develop your vocal potential and to discover new repertoire. This is all set within our tranquil Tuscan farmhouse, while enjoying wonderful Italian cuisine in the company of fellow singers. On the last day, you’ll be able to take part in an informal public choir performance.
Art retreats
We host a series of 6-day painting retreats organised by Art Escape Italy. It is possible to choose between art retreats in landscape, portrait and figurative painting and drawing. Retreats are led by renowned artists from around the world, and participants of all ages and ability levels are welcome.

Discover Tuscany
